No problems since. The switch is back by the door latch. It is hard to get to even if you take the door panel off but really squirt the heck out of it and the WD-40 will get in there. I had problems opening my tailgate and the WD-40 worked on that too. I think the problem is that the plastic gets gummed up and sticks.

Shut the hatch. There's a sensor in the lift gate for it, and whenever it's opened, the interior lights should turn on. Same thing with doors, I believe as well. 1. The door ajar switch ( part of the door latch ) is gummed up and a good spraying of WD-40 can clean it out. Could take several times to cure the issue. 2. There is a bad splice in the driver's side door sills. On the SUperCrew it is usually closer to the c-pillar on the rear door.
